The news agency added that the European Union announced the release of funds for forest protection at the Glasgow Climate Conference.
The EU fund is part of a 12 billion forest protection package in poor countries.
Other donors to the forest protection finance package include the United States, Britain, Japan and Norway, the news agency said.
